The biggest determinant of a positive outcome is the quality of therapist and the therapeutic relationship with the client. My clients get better: Couples and families seeking healing progress in relationships. Adults dealing with challenging times in their lives. Students with anxiety, depression, identity issues, and stress management, Together we set goals and work towards those goals, building skills (communication, self-reflection, resiliency), identifying triggers and pre-gaming difficult social interactions, experiencing success from changes in attitude and behavior, making steps toward better functioning and happiness.
I grew up in Lexington, attended Lexington Schools, graduated from LHS, and attended Middlebury College. There was a 20 year gap that included living in Athens, London, New York (swimming with the sharks at Ogilvy Advertising), New Hampshire (getting MBA in 1984), and New Zealand, before moving back to Lexington (Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2005).
During those wander years, I taught Middle & High School Science, went to business school, worked in advertising, twice been a church deacon, built a small business, and with my husband raised three children, all graduates of LHS. This informs the worldview that I bring to understanding my clients; young and old, as individuals, family and community members.
