About
Hey there! I’m Ashley Fennell and my focus in working with clients is to build an authentic, caring, and trusting therapeutic relationship while empowering you and acknowledging that you are the expert on your life. I enjoy working with young and older adults, specifically those who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and/or relationship issues (i.e. familial, friendships, couples, etc.). My goal is to support you in finding your own voice and inner guidance while increasing your personal awareness.
I work from an eclectic theoretical framework that combines Feminist/Womanist, Narrative, and Existential therapies and I will use varying techniques from these theories such as assertiveness training, power/gender-role analysis, self-exploration/examination, and journaling. Our work together will be tailored to your level of comfort and willingness.
If you are looking for someone to walk with you and collaborate on getting where you desire to be then you are welcome to reach out to me to see if I can be your fellow traveler on the journey. “Heal so you can hear what is being said without the filter of your wounds. Heal so you can see what is before you beyond the blinders of your wounds” -Dr. Thema
