I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). I enjoy working with women, immigrants, young adults, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and death anxiety. I offer therapy in English and Turkish.
I use an integrative and existential approach because I truly believe every person is different and there is no one right way to do therapy. Everyone has different needs, personalities, experiences, and goals, so I like to adapt my style to fit the person in front of me.
A lot of this comes from my own life experiences. I have lived in four different countries, and every move required me to adapt in some way. I have met people from many different cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life, and those experiences made me very open-minded and aware of how differently people experience the world.
As a research assistant, I contribute to research exploring death anxiety. Outside the therapy room, you can usually find me traveling, gaming, crocheting, or spending time with my cat Arya and my pup Appa. I love animals and the comfort and connection they can bring. A fun fact about me: I actually learned English through listening to Taylor Swift songs!
