Eboniņa Evans, MA, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in San Francisco
My personal life & professional experiences are full of eclectic encounters and opportunities. I have worked with & continue to work with a broad spectrum of people from different cultures, lifestyles, experiences, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. I have learned that the human experience has plenty of positive experiences, as well as, at some time or another exposure to doubt, disappointment, uncertainty, loss, and sadness that comes with living. Together, we can move forward & use our therapeutic relationship to gain a greater self-understanding. I am available to you, as an instrument of change, while providing nonjudgemental listening, acceptance, & an empathetic understanding.
"Feeling comfortable in the skin you're in & your expression of self," is something that was impressed upon me from childhood. I learned that a majority of people were not raised the same. Societal taboos can create feelings of shame, guilt, & embarrassment around the topic of sex, and understanding one's own gender, sexuality, & body.
This could be due to religious upbringing, not feeling comfortable to discussing, and/or a plethora of other reasons. As I proceeded through life & education, I took it upon myself to seek out further education, join organizations, and meet people who would aid to broaden my own perspective.
