I have experience with a wide variety of children who suffer from depression, anxiety, self-esteem complications, sexual trauma, physical trauma, and bereavement. Most of my work consist of working with children and adolescents from various backgrounds, but I have experience working closely with families as well. Together we can work on identifying areas that could use the development of resiliency within yourself as well as your family in order to cope with life stressor or adversities. I am here to create a safe and positive space for you to explore, heal, and grow throughout the course of your journey.
My approach to counseling is client-centered, but I believe in adjusting to what my client's needs and circumstances are in that moment. With my clients, I incorporate play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and reality therapy. Also I am a counselor who believes in including clients in the counseling process regarding the best treatment for their needs.
For some children, counseling can seem intimidating but it can be one of the most courageous things you can ever do for yourself. I am here to provide a warm and supportive atmosphere for you to develop the tools you need for a healthy and positive life. I am looking forward to meeting you and providing the guidance you need along this journey.
