I specialize in working with children and adolescents with anxiety, identity development, school related challenges and parents in need of coaching and support. My 25 years of experience as a clinician has been both in private practice and as a counselor in the Lexington Public Schools for 23 years. I have expertise in navigating the public school system in the areas of Special Education and 504.
Utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques (CBT) , relational theory, and a strengths based approach, my goal is to create a nurturing, solution focused, supportive, and non-judgmental environment in which my clients can feel safe, validated, confident and more at ease with themselves.
Through listening, compassion and humor, I successfully help my clients develop new coping skills and the ability to manage difficulties when they arise. I love my work and believe that both children, adolescents and adults have the capacity to grow and learn more about themselves setting the path to a successful and happier future.
