There are many reasons you may be seeking therapy, maybe you feel stuck, or out of balance, or you want to learn new, positive ways to cope. Therapy offers hope for healing, acceptance, and growth and can help you gain new insight into yourself. We start just where you are, right now, and utilize your personal strengths, internal resources, and resilience. You are more powerful than you know. My hope is to assist you with the tools, skills, understanding, and support to help you create a life of meaning, intention, and value; a life you want to be present for.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and empathic. I believe that we are all doing the best we can to manage the challenges we face. I use a strengths based approach to help you create new and more adaptive tools and coping skills to manage life's challenges.
I use evidence based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Narrative Therapy. I specialize in the treatment of adults struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity, LGBTQ issues, sexuality issues & relationship issues.
