Thirty-four years of experience have taught me what works in therapy. I utilize techniques from psychodynamic, cognitive, somatic and transpersonal approaches. I have skill and experience working with people who are anxious or depressed. I have worked successfully with people who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and people who have had difficulty in relationships. I will meet you with respect and compassion and work with you to develop a strategy for healing your wounds, disappointments and existential dilemmas. Together we will work to reveal the best of you-freed from debilitating family patterns, constraining belief systems and dysfunctional habits
I like to work with a combination of talk therapy and other more holistic modalities. I encourage my clients to speak of their dreams, their bodies and their spiritual experiences through guided meditations, sensory awareness exercises and expressive arts. We work to develop awareness of the meaningful story behind the suffering.
I lead the Women's Dream Quest at Grace Cathedral and am a labyrinth facilitator with Veriditas. I also lead trips to sacred sites in England, Scotland and France I enjoy making bridges between the various spiritual traditions and understanding the way the our spiritual experiences can be fruitfully woven into our lives.
