About
I respect each person's uniqueness and self-determination in their effort to create a more mindful and balanced life. My role in the therapeutic relationship is as a facilitator in helping them to achieve their goals and I regard the relationship as one of collaboration. I provide a safe environment that is conducive to an honest, empathic and direct exchange of information and ideas.
I work with adults, individuals and couples, in many areas such as depression, anxiety, addiction recovery, trauma, marital/couples issues.I am trained in traditional modalities and also in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective therapy for many types of trauma and its repercussions such as PTSD.
In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR, I am also trained in grief therapy and am a student of the John Gottman Institute for Marital Therapy.
