Have attempts to find the solution to a difficulty either on your own, or through the advice of family or friends, all failed? Perhaps it is time to seek the assistance of an outside professional. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, as well as, a licensed clinical social worker. I have over 40 years experience working with couples and families wherein an individual may be complaining of a difficulty such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, behavioral problems, psychiatric symptoms or relationship issues.
I practice a structural family therapy approach to working with individuals, couples, and families. This model is based upon a belief in the competency, and resources within individuals and families to be helpers and healers to one another. It is both an effective and brief model of practice.
In addition, I am an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervisor, a faculty member of the Minuchin Center for the Family (a training institute in New Jersey), and a former Associate Professor of Human Services, City University of New York - New York City College of Technology.
