About
People look for therapists for many reasons. Perhaps you are having a hard time coping with a difficult life event or transition. Or, maybe, you have felt for some time that there is something missing in your personal or professional life. In my practice, I work with people struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, and concerns about sexual orientation. I also have significant experience treating college and graduate students, and have special interests in working with lawyers and law students, as well as with people facing the challenges of infertility, pregnancy and pregnancy loss, and parenting.
I believe that the fit between therapist and client is a major factor in determining whether treatment is successful. My style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to make my office a safe place from which to explore the obstacles interfering with my clients' ability to lead happy, satisfying lives.
In my experience, effective therapy takes time and hard work. Yet, it can also be a highly meaningful and rewarding process. It would be a privilege for me to meet with you to see if I am the right therapist to help you get started with that process.
