My focus within my clinical work is with individuals ages 13+ experiencing issues related to trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, family or relationship issues, and major life transitions. I am knowledgeable about how trauma impacts our overall well-being and functioning, and am passionate about helping those who have experienced trauma or other significant life events. I truly believe that therapy is collaborative, and therefore work side by side with clients to identify the best approach and move forward towards healing.
I am EMDR Certified and take an eclectic approach to therapy, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Person Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to tap into the brain's own ability to reprocess and heal, in order to resolve new and old trauma.
