Hi Everyone! My name is Melissa Dye. I created my company, Dye's Counseling Oasis with one goal in mind. That goal is to provide a welcoming, caring, and compassionate environment for clients to come as they are. I know seeking out counseling and finding that "right person" can be difficult and intimidating. My emphasis in counseling is to create a working relationship that promotes effective therapy though a means of encouragement, solution focus, and a commitment to yourself. In recognizing that you have a choice, I encourage you to take that first step and make counseling work for you. You Are Worth It!
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am also a veteran of the United States Army.I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). I specialize in working with individuals with PTSD and traumatic life stressors, victims of sexual trauma and MST (Military Sexual Trauma), and mental health symptoms and neurodivergence.
Counseling should be collaborative effort between you and your therapist. You should feel empowered and confident in your decisions and in working toward whatever your goals are. I believe in investing in my clients. I will push you to think outside your comfort level , but with a caring nudge. My style can be described as diverse, eclectic, and adaptive.
