The focus of my practice is working with those with stress, depression, self-esteem issues, or traumatic events such as sexual abuse, death, cumulative trauma or PTSD. I have years of experience working with general clients, emergency first responders, and college age students. I am also a Crisis Counselor and have studied under the mentorship of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. I'm trained in Critical Incident Stress Management and use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing in my practice. EMDR assists those with traumatic memories and PTSD to process past events.
As a licensed social worker, retired paramedic & University educator; I have a unique understanding of issues surrounding the lives of first responders & those in the military. I have extensive experience with college age students & their concerns such as self-esteem, depression, anxiety, & LGBT issues; as well as males involved with social fraternities.
My practice is limited to individuals 18 years and older. I accept private pay, Out of Network, and a variety of insurances. At this time, I am NOT accepting new clients.
