Announcement icon Given our shared crisis (COVID-19), I am solely offering virtual sessions (video, phone) within as well as beyond core business hours.
Relationships are tough. Whether you have grown cold, quietly resentful and or struggling to balance work and home life, relational intimacy can be recaptured. It is unrealistic to think a relationship should be what it was when two persons met. After all, the chemicals released due to the novelty phase are no more, and our needs are changing as we mature creating a new relational dance. Other challenges include becoming inundated with the stuff of life ( i.e. in-laws, children, addictions, losses) which can cause a couple or an individual's relationship with self, to go un-nourished. One often asks, "who have we or I become?"
An emphasis of my work is to help individuals and couples maximize their relational potential. This work takes the form of premarital counseling, infidelity recovery, marriage enrichment or fortifying one's self-concept which may have been stunted by psychological neglect or abuse, trauma, shaming and or mental illness.
Although therapy is challenging relationships are even harder. Having experienced a myriad of setbacks in my 55-year journey it's rewarding to come along side persons desiring change despite their worldview or sexual orientation. Unfortunately, I can't "fix" a client. But success can happen through one's engagement in the therapeutic process.
