I am a certified anxiety and trauma therapist (EMDR), and relationship expert (PhD. in marriage and family therapy and LCSW-S) with over 19 years of experience. I provide individual, couple, group, and family therapy. Many of my clients are seeking alternatives other than prescription medication for anxiety and depression. I am a practitioner of yoga and a herbalist. I'm not just EMDR "trained", but also certified with advanced hours in trauma.
I conduct self-esteem and boundaries groups. I am CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) trained and a certified facilitator for Prepare/Enrich (marital & premarital). I help couples successfully work through conflict and achieve the relationship that they both desire. I am happily married and the mother of 2 young adults. I come from a Christian framework.
I'm an adjunct for Fordham University Graduate School of Social Work and a Texas LCSW Board approved supervisor. I facilitate the "Fierce Self-Esteem" workshop, designed to help individuals love and live their true selves. Read more about my practice at dwanreed.com. They will identify the signs that someone needs stronger boundaries. They will explore the six types of boundaries and what boundary violations look like. Participants will discuss how trauma and attachment impacts setting boundaries. They will learn three steps to setting a boundary and role play situations that test their boundaries. Participants will develop a personal boundary assessment.
