I am a seasoned mental health clinician who has been independently licensed for more than 20 years. I offer in-person therapy at my office near Farragut Square in DC. I also offer tele-health for clients in DC, Virginia, and Vermont. My goal is to create a safe and accepting environment that allows us to better explore the issues you are facing. I value a trusting, open, and interactive relationship that allows us to improve insight into your struggles and issues, and develop a plan for recovery and healing. My clinical expertise includes the treatment of mood disorders, addiction, and trauma, as well as a range of other issues.
I work with adolescents, teens, young adults, and all adult ages. My therapeutic approach is integrated and tailored to the needs of each client. I typically use elements of, CBT, Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, and existential therapy. I have training in other modalities as well.
For those with alcohol or other substance issues, I start wherever you, the client, is at, whether it's contemplating change, figuring out what to do next, or already in recovery. I believe in practicing harm-reduction where appropriate and also can help determine when a client needs an different approach or higher level of care.
