I offer individual sessions for children, adolescents, and adults as well as couple and family sessions. I enjoy working with clients from different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.

For over ten years, I have been dedicated to working with individuals who struggle with the many challenges that life has to bring. While we all face challenges, sometimes there are hardships or circumstances that leave us feeling like things are out of our control. EMDR allows us to achieve the goal of calm and relief very quickly by reconsolidating bothersome to life threating memories that are triggering us in the present. As a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant, I am able to bring relief and resolution to a wide variety of symptoms. EMDR is effective, efficient, and empowering. I can't think of a better gift to offer a fellow human being.

I started out my professional career as a church pastor, and in my 40's transitioned into becoming a counselor/therapist. I guide people to get over problems and to be their deeper, higher, and more loving, compassionate self.

If you are experiencing an understandable increase in trauma symptoms or substance use during these challenging times, I am here to help. I have specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, a recommended trauma treatment by the American Psychological Association and the Veterans' Administration. I offer research-informed, online counseling services for students and professionals who wish to reduce or eliminate substance use. So that clients may receive services discretely, I have a direct-pay private practice and do not accept health insurance.

Nobody is exempt from life’s challenges. We all experience major life transitions, overwhelming emotions, or self-limiting beliefs. Luckily, we all have the ability to heal and grow. Counseling simply offers an avenue to take on life’s challenges using your innate resources and strengths while also developing self-awareness and building resiliency. I practice from an integrative approach. I believe that every individual is unique and that the therapeutic interventions should be specifically catered to the needs of the client.

I also focuses on stress management and wellness in my clinical work. My therapeutic influences are primarily Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioral, Systemic, and Interpersonal theories.

I have provided mental health services for over 35 years to adolescents and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings including college counseling. I strive to provide a confidential, supportive setting for individuals as they sort out how to best cope with life transitions and challenges from high school through retirement such as work or relationship stress, anxiety, sleep difficulty, depression or bi-polar and coping with grief/loss and trauma. Growing up in a military family, I was exposed to diverse populations with varying levels of need. From a young age, I have felt compelled to serve others. I have experience serving children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of challenges, including mood symptoms, behavioral issues, trauma, relationship issues, and educational challenges.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with over 25 years experience. My specialty is trauma/PTSD. I focus on a Neurological form of treatment, and focus on the individual needs of my clients. I treat people with other issues, such as depression, anxiety, couples counseling, bipolar, grief, and parenting help.
