Do you suffer from sexual or internet addiction? Substance or alcohol abuse? Depression or Anxiety? I have been successfully helping clients suffering from addiction, mood, and anxiety disorders regain control of their lives. I use my warmth, sensitivity, and humor to create a healthy and balanced therapeutic relationship with my clients. My philosophy is to help clients obtain the necessary skills they need to eventually "be their own therapist." This is achieved through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral and Insight Oriented therapy techniques. I challenge my clients to think, gain insight and understanding, and make concrete changes in their daily lives.
I have trained under the supervision of Dr. Douglass Weiss, PH.D., an expert in the field of sexual addiction and have been helping clients and their spouses who suffer from sexual addictions. I am the only Sexual Recovery Therapist in New Jersey certified by the American Association for Sexual Addiction Therapists.
I utilize Dr. Weiss' 6 type model of sexual addictions to help clients start a process of recovery that will enhance the lives of the addict and his/her partner. I use the integrated treatment model for those clients that suffer from co-occurring disorders, allowing clients to simultaneously achieve success in both areas.
