If you're looking for somewhere to be heard without judgement, I have experience helping people from diverse backgrounds going through a variety of issues relating to health, relationships, work, crisis, and life transitions. I use several somatic/body-based and mindfulness strategies, drawing from my background as a psychotherapist, Registered Yoga teacher and Reiki Master. I strive to create a safe and open environment where people can reconnect with themselves and those relationships that matter most to them.

The choice to seek counseling is the first step to a more fulfilling future for you and/or your child. I use a personalized, strength-based approach focusing on clients' positive virtues. I encourage the development of skills of each client to reach their full potential. I understand the importance of addressing the academic and social-emotional needs of adolescents and young adults in a safe environment. I assist clients in identifying potential roadblocks in daily function and happiness, including professional/ academic stress, anxiety, & depression.

I am glad to provide care to clients with a variety of presenting issues. I particularly value providing affirmative care to members of diverse communities, including the LGBTQIA+ community and people of color. My hope as a therapist is to help clients connect with their love and respect for themselves, as well as find new strategies for coping.

As a counselor, my goal is to provide my clients the space and support which help them feel safe and comfortable to feel, think, change, grow and explore. I utilize a warm, empathetic, motivational and encouraging style of communication with my clients in order to help them seek changes and growth they desire for they lives. I utilize many theories and techniques from multiple types of therapy in order to find the best fit for each individual client. Some of us have been taught to fear or push away certain emotions and parts of who we really are. We’ve been taught to disregard what our body and feelings are telling us in order to make others comfortable. While this might seem like the path to approval, it often leads to shame and disconnection. A way to combat these messages are to move towards authenticity and acceptance of all our parts. To learn to advocate for ourselves, heal from our wounds, and stand firm in who we are. I would be honored to work alongside you in the journey.

If you've learned anything about your anxiety, it's that it is absolutely, unrelentingly ruthless. You wonder why you can't just go about your day and not think so much. Hi there, I am here to help you. I work with individuals, couples, and families with struggles ranging from current life issues, relationship struggles, and issues that have been a lifelong battle. Clients often come to me because they have hit the lowest point and have never felt more alone, even after trying therapy countless times before. Many clients have left counseling finding resolution and a drive to live their life to the fullest. My clients have expressed finding healing, feeling equipped to manage life, and having healthier relationships and connections with others that they previously thought weren't possible.

I work with individuals with a variety of mental health diagnosis and concerns. Some people come to counseling to process a traumatic event, some come to talk about the stress they're experiencing at their job, and some come just to learn about why they haven't been feeling their best emotionally lately. If you feel like you could even pinpoint exactly why you feel how you do, but it just doesn't make it better, I'm the counselor for you. I don't just help you figure out why, I help you DO something with what you learn about yourself so you can move past any barriers you have.

Welcome to Elephant Rock Counseling - we have recently added an experienced female therapists who still has some availability for NEW CLIENTS. The majority of our therapists work with Adults & Adolescents - we can assist with important life goals and help you find more adaptive coping skills working through challenging obstacles that usually lead one to therapy.
