Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! My ideal clients are looking for a strength-based approach where they are more than a "psychiatric diagnosis." My clients come from many backgrounds - they are children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families - and are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, women’s issues, anger management, ADHD, autistic spectrum disorder, addiction issues, couples therapy, and working through LGBTQ+ issues. I partner with my clients in the change process and empower them through using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and other tailored approaches.

Dr. Terry-Ann Adjmul-Hislop is a graduate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is a pediatric neuropsychologist with extensive experience working with the pediatric and adolescent population both domestically and internationally. She organizes and conducts positive parenting seminars, psychosocial workshops, and has worked especially with children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disability, language disorders, mood disorders, behavioral problems, developmental delays, trauma, adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety.

I also treat depression, anxiety, addictions (including substance abuse), trauma, and a variety of other psychological concerns. I routinely work with individuals' physicians and a variety of other practitioners to create a comprehensive treatment plan. I am an anger management specialist, certified by the National Association for Anger Management Specialists as well as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). I am also a certified EMDR therapist.
