I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in Complex Trauma, Athletics-Focused Counseling, and Alcohol and Drug use. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and athletic populations using a collaborative approach that fosters a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. My goal is to work together with you to help navigate your life’s journey. If you have ever felt blocked or unreasonably triggered, have had flashbacks to unpleasant moments in your life, or are unreasonably afraid of the future, we can work towards more adaptive responses to otherwise detrimental, "freezing" moments.

Working with clients is my passion. I believe in listening and offering a variety of solutions that are a match for my clients individual needs ,goals, and dreams. I empower my clients thru creating a atmosphere that is safe , and comfortalbe to explore the complexity of both indiviudual and relationship concerns. It is my desire to faciliate understanding and openness in dealing with my clients concerns and join with clients to produce growth personally , professionally , and in their relationships.

Life’s most difficult experiences can provide seeds for change. On our own, it can be challenging to see their potential. As an individual therapist, I aim to create a non-judgmental and authentic space for exploration and growth. I often work with young adults, clients in the midst life transitions, those experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, clients in recovery from addictions, and those experiencing the impacts of trauma.

I'm highly skilled in working with a wide variety of relational and individual issues involving adolescents, families, couples/relationships, parenting, stage-of-life concerns, addiction, meditation and yoga, and business managers/executives. As your clinical psychologist, I'll help you identify the core issues behind your problems, determine the changes that you want to make, and support you every step of the way as you courageously move toward a happier and more fulfilling life.

The people I work with sense a shift could be important. Their relationships seem to have a lot of ups and downs, they feel like they cannot control their emotions, and they sometimes experience unwanted mood swings. Specialized evidence-based treatment can generate a shift. They feel more centered in themselves, are less likely to be taken over by emotions, and can more quickly recover from intense feelings. Their relationships with themselves, and with others, improves. They gain a stronger sense of purpose, increased ability to communicate, more often avoid misunderstandings, and can resolve conflicts more quickly.

I respect that coming to therapy is a choice a client makes to do something good for themselves, and that it can be challenging to choose you, or to open up to someone new. Social work strongly believes in the autonomy of the client, and I believe people are the experts on themselves. As a therapist, I'm present to meet you where you are at and to help with what is most important to you. My personality is laid back, and as a therapist I feel I'm open minded, easy to talk to, and accepting. I enjoy supporting people in defining goals and taking steps to achieve them.

I have over 25 years experience treating adults, families, adolescents, and couples. I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders. I am a published author who has presented my research on group psychotherapy nationally and internationally. I am also a licensed massage therapist who practices mind/body work. As a past board member with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and a past member of APA's Task force on severe mental illness, I am an advocate for individuals and families who struggle with the stigma associated with these disorders. As a retired professor at Midwestern University.

Cameron works with clients towards their identified goals using an integrative and holistic approach. She honors all client's identities using a trauma-informed, multicultural and systemic lens and collaborative approach to address clients needs. Cameron's therapeutic approach is backed by 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, adults and families in the Chicago area. She helps individual, couples/relationship and family clients with issues of emotions, thoughts, behavior, relational patterns, conflict, self-concept, executive functioning, communication and other presenting concerns.

I provide psychological therapy which focuses on the way that people think and behave. My practice specializes in working with children/adolescents and college/post-college adults who have problems adapting to their current life circumstances. Each person brings into treatment all their experiences, both joyous and problematic, which provides a base for the development of individualized goals and objectives.

I mostly work in an Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational way. To me that means working in therapy towards having good enough internal harmony. Life is hard and life is amazing. Because life can be hard, we often have to get into intense, protective relationships with ourselves. Then parts of us can be pushed into the shadows. So we can wind up feeling "out of whack" and living our daily lives can be harder. Therapy can help us work with our multifaceted psychology so that we then have greater internal friendship and harmony. That can then translate into our relationships, our work, and our lives in the world.

Jacquelyn is a Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in working systemically with individuals, couples, and families. She experience in both community mental health and partial hospitalization settings, treating issues of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and (sexual) trauma. She is adamant about addressing matters surrounding high conflict relationships, communication, first and second-generation challenges, grief and loss and complex family dynamics.
