A significant number of my clients have struggled with a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder. They have presented for treatment in inpatient psychiatric, residential, and outpatient modalities. The overarching goal has been to stabilize and learn to function in a healthy manner. Clients have expressed they have made multiple attempts without success and are looking for long term solutions to reduce their negative life consequences. Other clients have reached out for assistance with traumatic events which have occurred in their lives. They express and desire to work on these events to obtain a productive lifestyle.

I offer treatment to a wide range of clients ages 5 to adult. As a therapist I am here to walk with my clients while they are working through some of life's toughest obstacles. I strive to be there for them while they decide what steps that need to taken in order to remove barriers in their lives to be able to live their healthiest life possible. My goal as a therapist is to give 100% to them each time that they walk into my office and work with them on the issues that they have in the away that benefits them the most.

My working history has made me passionate about helping clients where they are in life, with a special interest in early development. I encourage the exploration and processing of initial presenting concerns, work towards meeting desired goals, while also supporting growth in all aspects of life that may arise over the course of our therapeutic time together. I recognize that the time spent with me is only an hour of someone's regular day-to-day life, and hope to provide skills that remain applicable - long after any therapeutic time with together.

I am open to helping any individual that needs help with a psychiatric diagnosis. I do not treat acute events that need detox but happy to help sustained sobriety. I am also happy to help with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and many more.

Healing and recovery is possible. Change doesn’t come over night so it can seem daunting but in my 17 years of experience I have learned that people mainly want to be heard and validated. I will support ANYONE though ANYTIME, ANYTIME. I have experience working with grief, trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, and mood instability. I value working with all ages, genders, backgrounds, and orientations. As a person centered and solution focused therapist we will begin where you are and move toward mental wellness. EMDR/CBT are effective tools to address concerns.

I have many years of experience working with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. I use a client centered approach and believe in treating everyone with respect. My goal as a therapist is to help recover from those times and enter the next phase of healing so that the third phase of life can be amazing. I have been told that I am a good listener. This is an essential quality in a good therapist but it is by no means sufficient. Throughout my training, I have collected what I believe to be the most effective strategies and perspectives for bringing about change in a person's behaviors and beliefs that is consistent with who the individual wishes to be. I am particularly proud that I have been able to work effectively with people of broadly varying belief systems in ways that enable them to call on already existing internal resources to improve their lives within their own personal environment.
