I specialize in working with clients who struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health needs or concerns. I have extensive history working with women, students, and those with a dual diagnosis. I like to meet clients where they are at and treat them as the expert by using a holistic, trauma informed, and direct approach. I use an eclectic style in session, using therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Making changes can be a difficult process and I am hear to guide you through that process. My practice (CareWell Behavioral Health) focuses on Recovery and Evidenced-Based practices by Advanced clinicians who use Collaborative Care to help promote Holistic Health. The goal of therapy is to promote change and long-term recovery from whatever issue brings you in for assistance. Together, we will build a plan to learn new skills and ways to cope with life stressors.

Kevin Smith (pronouns: he/him) is an experienced licensed social worker who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. His specialty interests include: children, adolescents (to include “at risk youth”), severe and persistent mental health issues, substance use disorders, LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer) issues, person-centered community inclusion, trauma informed care, and positive psychology.
