My ideal client is an adolescent or young adult who is struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also collaborate with clients who have eating disorders patterns or struggle with body image. I offer psychotherapy in Texas through Zoom. Or I see clients in Lubbock and Katy in person. I aim to exceed clients expectations for a full and productive life. My personal approach is to practice radically open acceptance of my client through validation; while also expecting change and personal growth. This is particularly is important for individuals who have intense emotions with ineffective coping skills.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and EMDR. Because of this pairing of DBT an EMDR I am in a unique position to help individuals with PTSD, addictions and traumas- big or small. My experience with clients battling eating disorders has solidified my commitment to DBT and shame reduction as valuable tools for treatment.
My greatest goal is to help clients learn how to discontinue behaviors that are interfering with daily life and strive for their greatest individual potential. I thrive on helping others deal with addictions and strong urges to engage in unhealthy or productive short-term fixes. Taking action to improve your life takes courage. I am here to help.
