Rainne specializes in addiction and trauma and has been working in the field of psychotherapy since 2003. She is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist candidate (CSAT-C) through the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and is being mentored by Heidi Kinsella. Rainne received her two master’s degrees from Pacifica Graduate Institute; one in Counseling Psychology and the other in Depth and Somatic Psychology. Working from an instinctual approach, Rainne connects deeply with clients and helps them learn to be free from their shame and suffering.

I really do enjoy working with individuals and groups and seek to have an authentic and warm therapeutic relationship with my clients. Building trust is paramount to successful treatment and my approach is to start with a more open and conversational tone after assessment. The process will focus on feelings and creating a space to foster more sensitive conversations. My own life experiences have guided me to this ‘feeling work’. Although I treat a variety of psychological conditions, I have three main specialty areas. First, I specialize in treating children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavior problems such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, poor school performance, non compliant behavior, substance abuse, and emotional trauma from domestic violence or sexual abuse. I also specialize in working with children, families, and adults who are struggling with issues related to divorce and re-marriage. My third specialty area is treating relationship and marital problems.

Heidi Kinsella has been an active member of the recovery community for over 33 years. She has extensive expertise in the treatment of sexual addiction and was mentored by and worked alongside Dr. Patrick Carnes, the pioneer in sexual addiction research and treatment. Heidi recognizes the importance of having a therapist who understands the complexities of addiction. She has worked with many individuals who have suffered from the effects of substance abuse, sex addiction, and those who have been affected by a loved one's addiction. She offers five day intensive retreats and Equine Assisted Therapy at Fourth Dimension Healing Ranch.

My focus as your therapist is to listen deeply, and remind you of your strengths and inner wisdom. I can assist you with creating strategies, skill building to move through the challenges you are experiencing, to improve relationships, improve communication skills, challenge negative thinking patterns. I provide a safe place to talk about what is troubling you.

My approach is to provide psycho-education on a number of different topics as they come up organically so that you can learn in conjunction with healing. I use a trauma-informed care approach and aim to keep the therapeutic space as safe as possible: I take this very seriously and know safety must be present in order for true work to happen. I provide a comfortable, non-judgmental, professional, and encouraging therapeutic relationship. I have 14 years of experience working with clients who struggle with mental health, trauma, and addiction issues. I provide EMDR, as well as, traditional talk therapy. I use a variety of tools and modalities to best help each individual client. They find that they are inwardly blocked from living life more fully.
