My approach is to provide psycho-education on a number of different topics as they come up organically so that you can learn in conjunction with healing. I use a trauma-informed care approach and aim to keep the therapeutic space as safe as possible: I take this very seriously and know safety must be present in order for true work to happen. You are the one who ultimately decides where we go and my ultimate role is to be right by your side on your journey of healing and exploration.

I have been in practice of psychiatry for 15 years. I work with patients 13 and older and I offer medication management services in coordination with psychotherapy.

I love my job! I am user-friendly in your difficult time. I specialize in clients experiencing trauma disorders and symptoms related to trauma, including substance use issues. Although I treat a variety of psychological conditions, I have three main specialty areas. First, I specialize in treating children and adolescents with emotional and/or behavior problems such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, poor school performance, non compliant behavior, substance abuse, and emotional trauma from domestic violence or sexual abuse. I also specialize in working with children, families, and adults who are struggling with issues related to divorce and re-marriage. My third specialty area is treating relationship and marital problems.

Since I was young mental health was always a topic in my home, so becoming a 3rd generation therapist was not surprising to those around me. When I realized prioritizing self-care, setting boundaries, & naming feelings were not normal dinner table topics, I wanted to change that. I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health and making tools more accessible. My goal is to empower my clients to use their innate gifts and strengths to conquer anything that comes their way. Taking the first step is brave, but continuing to show up and work towards your goals is courageous.

We all have the ability within ourselves to make changes and to live our best lives, yet often times we can get in our own way of that progress.
