Our Pastoral Counselors are certified, trained in providing trauma informed Christian counseling, for Adults, Youth, Couples and Families that are struggling with, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Addictions such as alcohol/drug abuse, sex addiction, pornography, behavioral issues, special needs, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social/relational concerns. All counseling sessions, including Intensive Counseling, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and aftercare are all 1 on 1. In office and Telehealth options. Also available for Court ordered DWI, and DUI programs. Biofeedback therapy is available

I understand self medicating with alcohol and drugs. I did it myself for years, in a never-ending attempt to avoid feeling sadness, shame or any other kind of pain. And when I finally escaped the clutches of my drug of choice, I didn't find "happiness" in the usual places, either. My practice is greatly influenced by my own journey, and the balance I've found in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). My goal is to help clients find their own direction and engage in a rich and meaningful life -- even in the presence of pain.

As a recovering alcoholic and drug addict with 35 years of recovery, I enjoy working with other recovering individuals. I have a wide range of treatment therapy expertise to address co-existing issues that often complicate recovery. My professional experience started in 1988 as a substance abuse counselor intern in residential treatment, with later work in outpatient, hospital, criminal justice and military programs where I eventually became a Clinical Director. While I support 12 step recovery, I also offer alternative approaches that are individualized to more closely align with client desires and motivation.

Often families, friends & colleagues will find themselves questioning options & even feeling they have tried everything to help someone struggling with alcoholism/addiction & mental health issues. The long standing belief that a person must reach rock-bottom before they will accept help is a distracting & dangerous lie. There is a way to intervene & create a safer rock bottom & help create a healthier life for ourselves as well as our loved one struggling with the addiction. The clinical intervention process has proven overwhelmingly successful in bringing about life-changing experiences for everyone involved in the intervention.

I believe there is no typical addict each person is uniquely different and so are the situations in your lives that have taken to this place. I also believe that including families is an essential tool to helping the entire unit heal and reconnect. Correct Choices lead us to harmony with all things, no matter how long and hard the road can get. Unlike other programs, I understand that sometimes getting seen is urgent and you don't want to wait weeks. I attempt to get clients in within 24 hours. And I am like you; I hate waiting in the reception area to see the counselor, therefore I make every attempt to stay on schedule this is a priority to me so that I won't disrespect your time. I am currently work towards a PhD. in Addiction since I find helping those who struggle with substance use disorders important and fulfilling.
