Starting therapy can feel daunting, and my goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space in which to begin the process. My clients tend to be introspective people with loud inner critics who seek relief from anxiety, shame and relational trauma. Many are helpers and artists who place great value on how they show up in the world but struggle internally with low self-esteem, maintaining boundaries and making decisions. Using a collaborative, curious and nonjudgmental approach, I assist my clients in clarifying their values and goals, resolving ambivalence and building deeper connections.
While my experience is varied, I am particularly drawn to the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, complex trauma, OCD and addictions. I especially enjoy working with other therapists! I also provide couples, family and friendship therapy with a focus on resolving conflict.
I am licensed to practice in NY, NJ and CO. I also supervise other therapists and teach social work at Columbia University. Though I have advanced training in psychodynamic therapy, I draw from many other modalities in order to meet your individual needs. I am also a Reiki practitioner and open-minded about alternative forms of healing.
