I have over 25 years of experience working with at-risk youth (10 years old and up), adults, families and couples. I partner with them to help them overcome significant difficulties and trauma from the past, including sexual, physical and emotional abuse and neglect. I firmly believe that identity (who you are) and behavior (what you do) are two distinct things. Your behavior does not determine your identity. I help my clients to examine core beliefs that are contributing to their current difficulties, to help them to decide which ones are true and helpful, and which ones are not, to bring about true and lasting change.

Hello! I am a mental health counselor in Northern Indiana, who uses complete telehealth services. Anyone can be seen, from any location, home, car, private office at work! This allows for convenience & comfort to address those issues that are most troubling to you. I’ve been in the field of mental health & addiction since 1990, having obtained my first Masters in Counseling in 2000 & a Masters in Psychology in 2017. I am licensed in both mental health & clinical addiction. My preference with Telehealth is adults, but I will see some older teens, depending on the circumstances.

Utilizing a multi-dimensional approach, my therapeutic strategies focus on helping individuals set and progress towards realistic goals to improve outlooks and increase overall wellbeing. I view therapy as a collaborative process and work to meet my clientele wherever they may find themselves in their life's journey.

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck concerning their relationships, emotions, work, finances, health, or purpose. They are looking for an identity outside of parent or worker. They are feeling depressed and hopeless lately. They are the type that is generally anxious, worried, or on edge. Their goal may be to change their life, but they are not sure how. They may have tried a ton of different self-help, spiritual, or healing modalities on their own but had moments where they have started to think it's never going to happen for them. They need to break free of nonproductive cycles and poor choices to change their lives.

Life has many joys as well as sorrows. It's important to stay connected and take special care of your self and seeking help when you need or want it is a good thing. Some areas I have helped people with include recovery from PTSD, divorce, death of a loved one, dealing with depression and anxiety, self-improvement, goal setting, life coaching and developing relationship and communication skills.

My ideal client is someone who acknowledges a problem exists, even if they don’t quite know what it is. The source of that issue can be discovered and processed through therapy, leaving the client with effective tools and skills to cope with and manage their emotions.

I specialize in helping those with anxiety, depression, & relationship issues. Whether it is a relational, work, school, or family issue, talking about it with someone often aids in clarity and change. I want to help those individuals/families who are struggling to make sense of the chaos, look for understanding insight, and make those changes that will help them to start feeling more hopeful and excited about life again.

My ideal client is someone who wants to actively pursue new paths to find their true, healthy self. Ideally, ready to do the work. I am here to challenge cognitive distortions. I will be a partner in brainstorming issues and goals. Hard work from the client and support from an intuitive counselor will clear the path to the answers within.

As a therapist, I am most excited to see clients motivated to explore their unknown strengths, widen their horizons, increase their abilities to make informed decisions and lead a life of meaning as they define it. Everyone I have worked with brings to therapy a foundation upon which to grow. Regardless of the problem, an enhanced sense of self is possible. Instilling hope of something better in life is one of my greatest motivations, and assisting others in achieving their goals drew me to this profession.

I have 16 years of experience as a clinical Social Worker and I specialize in key areas of cognitive behavioral therapy for mood, EMDR, cognitive processing therapy for PTSD/trauma recovery work, substance abuse/codependency, LGBTQIA, consensual non-monogamy, and grief and loss. I incorporate mindfulness, meditation, movement, nutrition, neuroplasticity, and art therapy into my practice as well. I spent 9 years working with a VA hospital so I have a hefty amount of experience in working with veterans issues as well.
