My name is Ivy Dey-Johnson, and I am a License Clinical Social Worker who utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to assist Clients with concerns, issues, or problems. As a Marine Corps Veteran, I am comfortable treating Veterans, active duty Military, and Reserves and their Significant Others. I specialize in substance use and gambling addiction, along with the comorbidity of mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I believe how we perceive a situation elicits an emotion/feeling that is expressed in our behavior.

I am an experienced and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor an Marriage and Family Therapist with over thirty years of experience. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I also supervise and train other counselors who are working towards their licensure.

I'm passionate about working collaboratively with all of my clients, especially: clients of all ages with autoimmune, other chronic or potential life-limiting illness; teens/college students and parents with concerns related to academic and/or behavioral issues and in strengthening relationships; clients with mood, anxiety and addiction issues; clients with grief and loss issues and clients contemplating separation and/or divorce. I can objectively mediate a separation or divorce to each parties satisfaction.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I strive to make any difficult life experience more manageable while gently guiding my clients and their families towards the life they want and see for themselves. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults utilizing a client-centered, supportive approach. I strive to make my office a safe, judgement-free space where my clients can discuss their struggles and get the support they need.

I have been providing psychotherapy to children, adults, families, and couples for over 20 years. I also have a specialty in psychological testing of all kinds (such as educational, neuropsychological, ADD/ADHD, and others). My greatest area of expertise is providing court related services, such as custody evaluations, expert witness testimony, and anything having to do with your court case.

I graduated from Union College in Kentucky in 2012 with my Masters in Psychology. I have 18 years of behavioral health experience, which includes working with adolescents and adults in schools, community mental health, crisis intervention in the ER, and non-profit settings. I create a supportive, non-judgmental space for you to explore, grow, and develop the tools to move forward with confidence and resilience.
