I believe in many approaches concerning therapy and although I specialize in some the importance of motivation and goals for change is paramount to success of the client . I like to see that the client is working on things that are important to them and the integrity of therapy is understood and maintained. To this end periodic check ins are implemented in the treatment plan as our contractual relationship developes.
My specialty lies somewhere in area of Cognitive and Emotional Behavior Therapy, and I treat many issues with a flexible approach that includes some Didactical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems and Relational approaches. I am a treatment provider for military issues, anxiety, depression, bipolar and borderline issues as well. Substance Dependence evaluations and treatment also provided.
I like to provide a welcoming atmosphere that inspires open communication and explores the possibilities of perceptions in order to help the patient develop an open mind.
