As many of us have felt the effects of some form of trauma, I work to create an open, affirming environment where clients feel safe sharing their unique stories, strengths and challenges, without fear of judgment. I am passionate about working with a wide variety of individuals and couples, including those experiencing a life transition and those who have felt marginalized in any way.
I maintain a generalist practice, drawing from an array of modalities like EMDR, Internal Family Systems and Adlerian therapy, to treat such concerns as PTSD, depression and anxiety and relationship struggles. I am also fluent in Spanish. One of my passions is working in the LGBTQ+ community on gender identity concerns and anyone who has felt unheard.
Shame and guilt are often prevalent forces. Having grown up as a minority in a strict religion, I feel equipped to help clients navigate self-doubt issues and forge a path to peace of mind. As your counselor I will work to help you recognize your true nature as a resilient being, while also challenging old thinking patterns that may no longer be helpful.
