I've been working at this since about 2010 and I've found that one of the best ways to really help people is to just be a person with them. I intend to make sessions relaxed so that you can feel comfortable talking about what's going on. But don't get me wrong, I will definitely challenge you and help analyze what's happening so we can take steps toward growth. I use an eclectic style, primarily built up of cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and problem-solving techniques.
I like to regularly bring the focus into a systems-oriented mindset, so that we can really establish the big picture of the issue and make sure we're not missing any key details.
