I have been working with people living with addictions for over a decade. Clients who benefit the most from my approach are those who often feel outcasted by their environment, misunderstood in their relationships, or limited in their career. Throughout sessions, you will be better equipped to resolve conflicts within yourself and with others, and feel more confident, and free. I've been working mainly with Latinos(as) and African Americans, but anyone who is willing to explore themselves will benefit greatly from my work.
Being born in Brazil and moving to the USA as an adult, I can relate to many challenges we have to overcome when we feel as if we don't fit in. I work on developing a sound relationship where mutual respect is achieved. I believe you are the expert of your own life; therefore, I am eager to learn about you but expect me to challenge you.
You might feel exhausted and sometimes emotionally drained, but you are not alone. I understand that seeking help can be an intimidating process; therefore, I provide free phone consultation where we can talk about the most beneficial way to achieve your goals, and we can assess if we are a good fit for each other.

Groups
Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention
In this group, you will develop mindful skills to manage cravings, urges, obsessive thoughts and discomfort during recovery and prevent relapse. The main goals are (1) fostering increased awareness of triggers and the habitual or “automatic” reactions that seem to lead to relapse; (2) recognizing and interrupting automatic behaviors, creating the opportunity for agency and choice; (3) learning a new way of relating to discomfort and cultivating kindness and compassion for the full range of our experiences; and (4) increasing well-being.
