About
Stress changes us physically. Exposure to stressful situations instantly triggers measurable physiological changes in body. Stress changes our brain and body chemistry, affecting how we think, feel, and see the world! Stress cannot always be avoided, but it can be controlled. I specialize in helping people use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to handle stress by recognizing the mental traps we all experience daily. Let's do some thinking about your thinking.
Mental Health is my area of expertise, and I've logged hundreds of thousands of hours (yup, I did the math!) researching treatments. The most important thing I've learned is that I am only half the team. Given an issue, I can list strategies which helped hundreds of people, but only YOU know what feels right for you. I do NOT want to be in charge of that!
I have always liked helping people. Which does mean that it's selfish of me. :) Helping you makes me feel important. Let’s work together -- in person, by phone, or online. Confused? Unsure who to speak with? I always tell people to pick at least three counselors to chat with for a few minutes to see who you click with, and THEN pick.
