About
I was fortunate to have received outstanding academic training as well as exceptional clinical and research opportunities (Northwestern University Medical School; University of Chicago Hospitals) that helped me develop a unique skill-set and expertise to help patients resolve a wide variety of difficulties that inhibit them from functioning at their optimal levels of emotional health and wellness. My clinical practice is empirically (research) based. This "best practice“ approach incorporates the latest empirically-based research findings from the fields of clinical psychology, health psychology and behavioral medicine.
I help patients who experience typical psychological challenges (anxiety/stress, depression, life adjustment) and have specialized training in the areas of Behavioral Medicine and Health Psychology. According to "Google Scholar" three of my peer reviewed research publications are referenced in more than 700 scientific journal articles and self-help books.
With warmth, empathy, and respect, I practice "collaborative empiricism" which involves a systemic process of working together to establish goals in treatment. I invite you to visit my web page and get to know me so you can decide whether I can help you begin to address the life issues that are currently troubling you.
