Psychotherapy Services: I provide outpatient psychotherapy services to adolescents, adults, and couples. My areas of specialty include: depth psychotherapy utilizing Mentalization-Based Treatment, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, men's issues, recovery from marital infidelity, and psychotherapy for members of the "helping professions" (i.e., psychotherapists, educators, administrators, etc.). Psychological & Personality Assessment Services: Common referral questions (e.g., diagnostic clarification), in addition to critical and prioritized intervention targets, valuable assets, and vulnerabilities to address therapeutically (e.g., coping resources/ways of managing stress, capacity for affect modulation, manner of processing information, conscious/unconscious experiences of self, explicit/implicit models of relating with others, etc.).
Professional Consultation Services: As an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and Staff Psychologist at The Menninger Clinic, I conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoanalytically-informed personality assessments working in conjunction with a team of expert professionals who provide child and adult outpatient psychiatric assessments.
