About
I am a professional clinical psychologist who has been seeing patients for approximately 25 years. I offer a high-end, "boutique style" practice exclusively focused on patients who are not interested in using their insurance and wish to have relatively unlimited availability to their therapist. As an individual therapist, parenting coach, and families/couples therapist, I focus on treating cases of depression, anxiety, and adjustment problems. I use a culturally-intentional interpersonal/systemic style that meets my patient's unique needs. I often encourage family members to assist as therapeutic consultants. I also use humor and metaphor as therapeutic tools..
By using these methods I am able to meet the needs of my diverse patient population. I mainly focus on how our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and responses work for and against us in our daily lives. This brief model allows the patient to grow and learn in their own therapy.
I often find it rare for a therapist to focus on the culturally specific, individually unique, and humanly universal aspects people's lives. My goal in therapy is to help my patients acknowledge and integrate these three dimensions in their interpersonal interactions so as to optimize their mental health.
