I am a Psychologist in private practice working with individuals and couples, adolescents and adults. I have worked in many different clinical settings since 1968 and, for 40 years of private practice, have worked with a range of difficulties involving anxiety, depression, addictions, abuse, obsessions, parenting, trauma and PTSD, personality disorders and psychosis. One specialty has been using psychological testing to get a more accurate and detailed diagnostic picture of the issues, as just having a quick diagnosis is not enough and can result in misunderstanding and poor treatment.
I worked for years with insurance, but had so much trouble with their destructive interference in treatment that I now work only with people who pay themselves. This makes it possible to focus on treatment without wasting time dealing with insurance interference and it provides a much higher degree of privacy.
People I have worked with tend to see me as a creative therapist with a warm sense of humor and very good grasp of the intricacies of psychological troubles. I am patient, a good listener, relate well with people and convey hope and real help to those I work with.
