I am a clinical psychologist in private practice and have been providing psychotherapy services to adults, families, couples and adolescents for more than 25-years. I work with patients to identify their own personal goals and relationship needs in an effort to improve well-being and increase feelings of satisfaction and authenticity. Life transitions as well as difficulty in important relationships often drives people to seek help. I have extensive experience in treating substance use disorders, mood regulation, panic, phobias and relationship issues including couple therapy and divorce parenting plans. I have a background in marriage, family and child therapy and recognize the importance of communicating effectively in relationships as well as addressing underlying emotional needs.
Therapy can be short-term to address immediate crisis or challenges or can take some time to understand a history of recurring patterns or problems. The therapist-patient relationship is an important part of feeling safe, understood, and appropriately challenged.
