I am a psychotherapist with over 40 years of experience in providing individual, marital, family and group psychotherapy. As our wounding and losses occur through relationships so I believe our healing and growth take place in the crucible of human relationships. In the therapy relationship I provide a safe, welcoming and accepting environment where individuals, couples and famlies can find healing and creative, imaginative approaches to life's dilemmas and mysteries. I have extensive experience in group facilitation and community building. My specialized training and experience includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD).
I have taught on the graduate level for years as an adjunct faculty member of Loyola University. I have served as director of a Pastoral Counseling Center, president of the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and as a Board member of the C.G. Jung Society.

Men's Relationship Issues
6 member group with two co-leaders. Men work on their relationship issues building a high level of trust that provides support and growth for the men. Men commit to weekly presence for a minimum of three months. A man who wishes to join must contact Dr. Jim O'Neill or Lou Irwin, BCSW to discuss suitability for men's group work.
