Dr. Galana Chookolingo
Psychologist, PhD, LPC
New clients accepted. Healing after a traumatic event can take time and a lot of work. I aim to build a safe, trusting relationship where you can take the journey through your painful experiences and arrive at a place that makes life feel worth living. Trauma may not be the only thing that brings you to counseling. Maybe you are not feeling like yourself—you’re staying up all night thinking and thinking, you’re finding it too difficult to get out of bed on a daily basis, you’re grieving a substantial loss, or you’re constantly having difficulty in relationships. Calling a counselor is a HUGE step and one that takes a lot of courage.
In addition to my training as a psychologist, I am also certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for trauma. If you are looking for a collaborative approach for counseling and want to reduce the suffering you have been experiencing, I might be a good fit for you. Please note, I do not do family therapy or couples counseling. I only work with adults 18+.
Working together to compassionately heal the trauma you have experienced and/or to help you find your life with living are my ultimate goals. You can feel better! Contact me for a free consultation today. Currently accepting new patients for both in-person or teletherapy. I call back within 24 hours with a message.
