Anxiety sucks. It can keep us stuck in an exhausting inner battle of fear and panic. Perhaps you have had a panic attack and worry about having another one. Or maybe you find yourself frequently worrying about your relationship with your partner. Obsessive thoughts might be keeping you up at night and disrupting your ability to focus at work. And you might feel shame or embarrassment that you can't get your anxiety under control. It can feel like you are in a tug-of-war battle with your fears and worries. The more you try to fight and control your anxiety, the worse it gets. The good news is, it does not have to be this way.

Through therapy, my clients are able to let go of their struggles with anxiety so they can live the life they want. They start sleeping better and living with more peace of mind. They become more present and connected with the people they care about. They are able to be calm and focused at work. And they become more kind and loving to themselves.

I get it. Reaching out for help can be scary and feel vulnerable. I hope to make the process of starting therapy as easy and comfortable as possible. Call me or email me and let me know what your struggles are. We can discuss if we are a good match and if so, schedule an initial appointment for you to come in. I look forward to connecting with you.

Mindful Men's Group

Navigating life as a man in the Bay Area presents a unique set of challenges. From work and career success, to health issues, to pursuing and exploring romantic partnerships, life can be complicated. As men, we are rarely encouraged to slow down and explore the emotional, and sometimes spiritual, experiences that accompany life's difficulties. From a young age, we may have been told to hide our emotions and repress who we truly are. In this group, we will take a mindfulness and values-based approach to supporting each other on our life's path. Contact me to learn more.

Is online dating making you feel hopeless and defeated about ever meeting the right partner? Do you keep repeating the same negative patterns over and over again in your relationships? Ellis is passionate about helping people make positive changes through mindfulness. He is very knowledgeable about Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) which has been proven to be effective for those struggling with anxiety and depression. Ellis is easy to talk to- he is down to earth and caring. In addition to his professional experience, he is a longtime practitioner of mindfulness meditation. Also, he created a board game called "Mindful Bus"! If you struggle with anxiety and want to try ACT, look no further.
