I work with folx who have experienced trauma (Big T or little t - trauma). I use "The Body Keeps the Score" framework to help clients move from their head into their body & emotions. (I worked with Bessel while he was writing the book.) I can help you create a more solid sense of your Self and address the various effects of childhood trauma such as self-esteem issues, eating disorders, and emotional dysregulation. I work with diverse clients, providing an affirming, respectful, warm and connected therapeutic relationship. I also offer a generous sliding scale for those who cannot afford my full out of pocket rate. Please inquire!
I specialize in seeing folx with anxiety, trauma, eating disorders & existential questions. My PhD is in Counseling Psychology & Religion. I address religion/spirituality only if clients raise the issue. I use IFS and somatic/body-based techniques to facilitate healing from trauma. Intuitive Eating principles guide how I address disordered eating.
Reaching out for help can be really difficult and the journey itself can be hard. I am good with the hard stuff. I have helped many clients find hope, find a way through the painful emotions, and ultimately to recover and thrive. My style is warm and humorous, and at times challenging.
