Dr. Brandi E. Baumkirchner
Psychologist, PsyD
She/Her/Hers
Compassion. Hope. Healing. These are three of the core foundations of my work as a licensed psychologist - three things I strive to offer you. I am very committed to providing the best treatment possible. I highly value my job, and thus I practice with care, paying attention to your specific needs and challenges. However, you will also find that I am down-to-earth, warm, and compassionate. My goal is to provide a safe space where, together, we can help make sense of thoughts, feelings, experiences, behaviors, and/or relationships that are troubling you. I offer flexible day, evening, and, on occasion, weekend appointments.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in numerous settings, including residential treatment, university counseling, rape crisis centers, community clinics, hospitals, high schools, and in the home. Within these settings, I have provided culturally-informed individual, group, couples, and family psychotherapy. I have also offered crisis intervention, multidisciplinary consultation, and multicultural training.
My clinical specialties include working with eating disorders, LGBTQ issues, trauma, addiction, and women's issues. Many times, having a person outside of your situation, who is interested in learning about you and truly wants to understand your experience, can make all the difference. It is my sincere hope to be that person for you.
