Establishing a solid therapeutic relationship includes safety, confidentiality, respect, validation, support, patience,hope and a clear focus of therapy goals. I am interactive and collaborative in therapy sessions, helping individuals explore unhelpful coping strategies, heal attachment disorders, & explore the psychodynamics of what is really causing trouble below the surface. I employ both experimental and empirically validated methods that have been developed from the studies of the neurobiology of attachment, trauma, consciousness and mindfulness, as well as complementary traditions of mind-body healing. Partnering with my patients in the transformational process produces resilency that is needed for substantial change.
Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT(TM) utilizes frequencies of light (color) to stimulate and influence change within the brain, impacting emotional responses via neural networks to the body. Once emotional dysregulation is reduced, most distressing symptoms and negative cognitions are diminished. ETT(tm) has verified actual changes in the brain.
Training experience, workshops, and cutting edge therapy alternatives- I completed Level I EMDR (1998) before empirical validation was established. Simularily trained in ETT(tm) (2008) continues to be my favorite form of therapy due to rapid, transformational process that I see clients experiencing with excellent resolve not seen with other interventions.
