If you have been looking for a dependable sense of well-being in your life, knowing that how you feel and function in the world isn’t what what you’d like it to be, I offer professional and compassionate help. Your feelings and behaviors make sense and healing is possible. I help you become your own source of support and growth. Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic awareness inform my practice. We all have parts that can become less extreme, and a Self that is wise and compassionate. Trauma, attachment wounds, shame, self-hate and feeling insecure about ourselves can frequently be at the root of our struggles.
My approach is relational, collaborative and respectful. I draw on mindfulness, self compassion, EMDR and somatic practices. Whatever your concerns - anxiety, depression, addiction/substance use, pain/illness, loneliness, relationship distress - or if you simply yearn for a better life, contact me to discuss whether our working together makes sense.
Therapy can be daunting. I bring warmth, humor, engagement, caring, transparency, honesty and authenticity to our work and take time to build a safe place where you gain understanding and develop skills to improve your life. I like to have an initial phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to talking with you.
