I seek to build genuine connections where people feel safe to be themselves and explore the parts of life that feel challenging - trauma, grief, strained relationships, depression, mania, anxiety, and whatever else ails them. Putting down the shame and approaching these topics from a stance of curiosity and kindness often grants us access to a version of ourselves that is intuitively wise and healing.
We begin by discovering together how your pains and dilemmas make complete sense, given everything you have faced. Then, we chart a path forward, towards greater peace and meaning in your life.
The work is tailored and unique to each individual. I utilize evidence-based practices (EMDR, DBT, ACT) and also bring my own humanity into sessions (lived experience, creativity, humor). I enjoy incorporating spirituality and poetry for those that are interested. I also offer walk-and-talks, starting from the office or Farnsworth Metropark, along the river.
