I am a practicing Gestalt therapist as well as a Registered Play therapist who works with adults and children that have experienced trauma and/or abuse, and present with symptoms of PDSD, anxiety, depression. When working with children I work closely with the parents or caregivers for best results. As a Gestalt therapist my focus is present focused and on the whole person (thoughts, feelings, body/movement.) Together we create an environment where the individual finds a deeper awareness about themselves that can increase their choices about how they interact with others and live their life.
I have had extensive training in trauma and abuse. I have completed three programs at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio. I have training in Somatic Psychotherapy. I am certified in EMDR. I also focus on child development and attachment as it presents itself in therapy.
I am located in the quiet neighborhood of the Lawrenceville area of Pittsburgh, Pa. I am one of a handful of Registered Play Therapists (RPT)in the Pittsburgh area. I am a High Mark, UPMC and Community Health Care provider (UPMC for You and Gateway in Allegheny Co.)
